You could be famous! This is your chance to prove to the world what you have when it comes to being a movie producer. Using Take 1, any tools, libraries, music, and any other related materials, create your own Take 1 movie! As an entrant into the contest, you will also get to join the crew and talk about your movie and what inspired you.
What’s the catch? Prizes, publication, and of course a permanent place in Apple II history and lore. The entries will be reviewed at the January 2024 Apple II Movie Festival, where the winners are being announced. Its a fully-interactive global event where the winners announced. All of the prizes are being awarded in the live event.
- Machine Specs: Machine: Apple II, II+, IIe, IIc, and IIGS or an Apple II emulator such as Applewin, Virtual II, KEGS, or another emulator.
- Media: Floppy disk, Floppy Disk Image in 5.25 inch DSK format, 3.5 inch .2mg format or Large Capacity .2mg or HDV formats.
- Limitations: The only real limitation is that the image must fit within 32MB, which is the maximum capacity of the .2mg and .HDV formats.
- Software: Baudville Take-1, Deluxe Take-1 or ProDOS Deluxe Take-1
- Tools: Animation Library #1-3, Programmer’s Toolkit, Take-1 Movie Tips, and any other legacy Take-1 Actors, Fonts, or Animations.
